Breathedge 2 Ticket Booth Guide: Repair the Booth, Solve the Knob Puzzle, Get the Token & Disable the Turret
This page covers the complete process in order — what the main quest requires in this area, all the materials, the knob puzzle solution, how to get the token, and how to achieve the permanent turret shutdown — plus the other things worth picking up along the way. The ticket booth at the Tickets building is a small side quest that quietly turns one of the riskiest early areas into a safe, restockable hub. Repair the booth and solve its knob puzzle and you unlock vending machines with ice, food, and water; finish the office console and the area's turret goes down permanently.

Movement-sensitive turret
The Tickets Area: What You're Working With
The booth sits beside the movement-sensitive security turret at the Tickets building, and you can't approach it casually — that turret is the reason the whole area is tense.
Red means freeze
Its rule: the turret turns red right before it fires, and if you freeze (stop moving) while it's red, it won't shoot you. Time your movement between those red windows and you can reach the booth without a fight.
The booth is one of three things worth doing in this area, and the other two are covered below: the vending machines (once the booth works) and the office (once you get in). Do all three and the Tickets building changes from a spot you rush through into a spot you plan around.
Third-antenna quest
How the Booth Ties Into the Main Quest
You'll reach the Tickets building during the third-antenna main quest, and the main quest only slows the turret — it doesn't kill it. During that quest you do three things on the platform:
Cut the yellow power cables
at the frayed points with the Cutters tool.
Rip out the cooling unit's batteries
(lined up past the power cable).
Break the power panel
on the ceiling with the Scrap tool.
That buys you time to work the antenna. The ticket booth is the follow-up: repair it, and the vending machines come online; repair the office console, and the turret is disabled permanently rather than merely slowed. If you've done the antenna quest, you already know the area and have the tools.
Three common materials
What It Takes to Repair It
Walk up to the booth and you'll see its screen showing a malfunction. The sparking side is what needs fixing, and it costs:
Repair cost
- Metalx3
- Electrical Tapex2
- Electronicsx1
All three are standard early-game scavenge, and you've almost certainly got them by this point:
Metal
the most common material in the game: break down machine parts, salvage structures, and the metal boxes scattered around wreckage. You already used metal for your first tools.
Electrical Tape
not the same as duct tape. It's its own material, found in the same kind of wreckage as wires — taped-up rolls among cable tangles and debris.
Electronics
pulled out of red panels on platforms and the sides of ships, or by grabbing floating TVs and washing machines and breaking them. If you've repaired the train's interphone, you've already farmed these.
Down, up, right
The Knob Puzzle
Once the booth is repaired, there's the knob puzzle on its front: three knobs, each turned one correct way:
First knob
down
Second knob
up
Third knob
to the right
If you forget the order, the hint is right there: look at the back of the Tickets building and you'll see the word “Racket” with arrows showing the directions. Solve it and a token drops out of the machine.
The token is the trigger for the vending machines — repairing the booth alone isn't enough, and skipping the puzzle is the most common way people miss this quest's payoff.
A mid-map restock point
The Token & Vending Machines
With the booth repaired and the token in hand, check the vending machines on the main platform. They dispense ice, food, and water — the three things you need to keep moving on a longer expedition. In practical terms, the Tickets building becomes a restock point: instead of returning to the train to refill, you can grab supplies here, which extends how far you can push into the area beyond it.
It slots into the same supply logic as the train's Nutri-Pack-O-Mat: a fixed machine you keep coming back to, rather than something you carry with you. The difference is that the Tickets vending machines are a mid-map convenience — you unlock them once, and they stay.

The permanent fix
The Office & Disabling the Turret
The last piece is the office. Go around to the back of the building and open the door to get inside. In there is a console needing repair, costing:
Console repair cost
- Metalx4
- Electrical Tapex1
- Wiresx2
- Electronicsx2
Disabled for good
Repair it, interact with the console, and the turret is disabled for good — this is the permanent fix, distinct from the main quest's temporary slow-down. There's also some useful loot in the office to grab while you're in there.
One more pickup
What Else Is in the Area
The “Lucky ticket” collectible
While you're at the Tickets building, there's one more pickup worth knowing about: sitting near the broken ticket machine at the Tickets station. It's a collectible with no requirement, and it's right where you're already working — grab it on this visit so you don't have to come back for it. (The full collectibles list is on the collectibles page.)
The full run
Step-by-Step: Do It in This Order
The whole thing takes a few minutes once you have the materials, and it pays for itself every time you pass through.
Arrive via the third-antenna quest
or come whenever you can handle the turret by freezing when it turns red.
Repair the booth
(Metal x3, Electrical Tape x2, Electronics x1) at the sparking side.
Solve the knob puzzle
down, up, right — and grab the token.
Pull from the vending machines
on the main platform for ice, food, and water.
Enter the office
from the back of the building.
Repair the console
(Metal x4, Electrical Tape x1, Wires x2, Electronics x2) and interact to disable the turret permanently.
Grab the Lucky ticket collectible
near the broken ticket machine, and the office loot.
The natural window
When to Do It
There's no wrong time, but the natural window is during or just after the third-antenna quest, when you're already at the building and have the tools (Scrap, Cutters). If you're short on electronics or metal, it's worth doing a quick scavenge pass first rather than a second trip — the materials are all common.
Skipping it costs you a restock point and a permanently safe zone; doing it costs a few minutes and common materials. For an early-game area you'll cross repeatedly, that's a clear trade.
Two traps
Common Mistakes
Repairing the booth but skipping the knobs.
The vending machines only unlock after the knob puzzle. Repair alone is not the payoff.
Thinking the main quest already disabled the turret.
Cutting the power cable during the antenna quest only slows it. The permanent fix is the office console.

- No. Once you repair and interact with the office console, it stays disabled.
- Is this a main quest?
- No — it's a side quest. The main antenna quest takes you past it, but completing the booth is optional.
