Breathedge 2 Snowman Guide (Снеговик): Location, All 5 Parts, and the Cold Protection Reward
This page covers where the snowman (снеговик in Russian) is, exactly where all five parts are, the order to place them, and the achievement it unlocks (Cold Protection +5) — plus everything else worth doing in the same area so you can clear this part of the map in one pass. The snowman is a small find-and-assemble task in Breathedge 2: you come across a snowman missing its parts, collect the five pieces scattered around the same area, and place them to earn an achievement with a permanent stat bonus. It's quick, it's optional, and it sits in a corner of the map that's worth clearing properly — because at least four other objectives live within sight of it.

Below the Foreman's service warmer
Where the Snowman Is
The snowman sits near the Foreman robot, on the way to the 10G antenna — specifically, just below the Foreman's service warmer. This is the memorial area of the map, and you'll pass through it while repairing service warmers or heading to the 10G antenna for the main quest, so it's a "grab it while you're here" objective rather than a separate trip.
Because the parts are all in the same general area, this is a short, self-contained detour once you reach the spot — and because of what else is here, it's worth arriving prepared (materials for repairs, a battery, and time for a small side-quest sweep).
Anchor on the yellow tunnel
The Five Parts
The snowman is missing five pieces, and they're scattered around the same platform (the part locations are confirmed to be right there in the area). Use the yellow tunnel as your orientation point, and each piece is a short fly from it:
Carrot & Cigarette
go out past the yellow tunnel and take a left. You'll see a billboard that reads "take a drag, betray the flag." The carrot and the cigarette are right there. Place the cigarette first, then the carrot — the order matters, and placing them the wrong way around is the classic way to fumble this one.
Order: cigarette first, then carrot
Hat
go out past the yellow tunnel and take a sharp left, circling back toward the Leader statue. You'll see a lit-up billboard with the hat in front of it.
Left Arm
go out past the yellow tunnel and take a right. Around the right side, you'll find the floating arm.
Beard
from the snowman, fly forward to the Santa Claus corpse, take a left past him, and you'll see the floating board piece.
That's all five: carrot, cigarette, hat, arm, beard. Collect them and head back to the snowman to place them.
A note on navigating this area: the yellow tunnel, the Leader statue, and the Santa Claus corpse form a handy triangle of landmarks — every part's description hangs off one of them. If you get turned around in zero-g, pick the tunnel, re-orient, and work outward.
Permanent cold protection
The Reward
“Building one snowman is basically a full gym workout...”
Putting the snowman together earns the achievement — and it grants Cold Protection +5 permanently.
Cold protection is one of the more useful early stats, since cold is one of the two meters that gate how far you can explore (the other being oxygen). A permanent +5 means you stay warmer for longer and can push into colder areas sooner, so this little detour pays off in practical survival terms, not just as a completion tick. And it stacks with other cold protection sources — the strange toilet repair nearby gives another +10. The full achievement list is on the achievements page.
Six objectives, one trip
The Area Around It: Clear Everything in One Pass
The snowman's corner of the map is dense with objectives, and clearing them together beats four separate trips. Here's what's within reach:
The Foreman (right next to the snowman).
A sparking robot needing Metal x4 and Electronics x3, then a three-question test with sarcastic answers ("fast and cheap as f*ck," "when the g*dd*amn inspector shows up," "every f*cking hour"). He repairs the service warmer beside him, which also feeds the oxygen-nest chain below.
The Strange Toilet.
Just to the side of the 10G antenna/memorial, near Chuck's Taxi station. Repair it (Scrap tool to break the beams, a battery in the slot, then panel repairs — Rubber x2, Techbits x2, Aluminum x4 — and wiring — Plastic x2, Refined Metal x2, Electronics x2) to grab a collectible off the seat and press the red button for the "Just another toilet" achievement (Cold Protection +10).
Chuck's Taxi.
The big repair chain in this area — inspect the graffitied billboard of Chuck's face and fix up the taxi platform (pump, generator, radiator, solar panel, sign letters, and two drinking robots who want crafted alcohol). It ends with the Alphabet achievement (Thirst Drain Rate -5%) and meeting Chuck.
Oxygen Nests.
While repairing service warmers or arriving at the 10G antenna, you'll find oxygen nests; Sui asks you to study them. Suck oxygen from five different nests to unlock new crafting recipes, including a way to refill oxygen on the go.
The Leader statue.
In this same area — building the Leader's statue is an achievement granting Gas Reserve +20.
That's five objectives plus the snowman in one small region. The efficient route: arrive with repair materials and a battery, do the Foreman and the snowman first (they're meters apart), then sweep the toilet, the nests, and Chuck's Taxi while you're here.
Four traps
Common Mistakes
Placing the carrot before the cigarette.
The order is cigarette first, then carrot. Getting it backwards is the most common fumble here.
Losing the orientation point.
Use the yellow tunnel as your anchor — every part's description starts from it. Without that reference, the parts are easy to lose in zero-g.
Doing just the snowman and leaving.
This area holds five other objectives (Foreman, Strange Toilet, Chuck's Taxi, Oxygen Nests, Leader statue). Coming back for each separately is wasted travel — sweep them in one pass with materials and a battery in hand.
Skipping the Foreman while you're here.
He's right next to the snowman, needs only common materials, and repairs a service warmer — worth doing in the same visit.
